Notice Info | ||
PCS proposes to increase urea synthesis from a current capacity of 1,900 tpd to 2,800 tpd, with the capacity of urea solutions increasing from a current capacity of 680 tpd to 2,000 tpd. This will result in downstream increases in actual granulated urea, although no physical modifications will be necessary to allow an actual increase in granulated urea from the facility. The increase in urea synthesis capacity will have no impact on urea prill production. The increase in urea synthesis will be accomplished without increasing actual ammonia production at the facility, as the ammonia plant is already operating at its maximum capacity, Ammonia needed for increased urea synthesis production will be obtained through reducing direct anhydrous ammonia sales from the facility. PCS is proposing to install a new evaporator system that will allow the production of UAN 3200 (UAN with 32% overall nitrogen content). The plant currently produces UAN 2800 (UAN with 28% overall nitrogen content). |
